Getting Started
About Speaking at
CoreNet Global Summits
Sharing your
professional experience at a CoreNet Global Summit provides quality
exposure for you and your company while creating an unprecedented
learning opportunity for Summit delegates. As you consider making a
case study submission, please be aware that the following matters
apply should your submission be accepted:
1.
You and your case study may be assigned to a Panel format session,
or to a session with multiple cases. Please do not presume that you
will be allotted all of
the session time if your case is accepted.
2.
CoreNet does not permit Speakers to make representations on behalf
of a previous employer unless that employer's explicit permission
has been given.
3.
You will be asked to submit within two weeks of advice of
acceptance of your submission both a photo & a CV for each
Speaker who will participate in
that session, for use in the printed Registration Brochure, printed
Final Programme, & on the Summit Website. If these items are
not supplied
within the period requested, the publications may be printed
without your content. The Photo file should be colour, EPS, JPEG or
TIF, and 50 Kb –
1 Mb in size. Photo’s less than 50 Kb may reproduce poorly when
printed.
4.
A Moderator will be appointed for your session, and will work
closely with you both pre-Summit and on-site.
5.
You will be asked to use a CoreNet Global Summit PowerPoint
template for your presentation slides. The template includes a
prominent space for your company
logo.
6.
You
will be asked to participate in a one-hour “Content Review”
session-planning conference call, scheduled to begin from April,
2008.
- The Moderator
together with any other Speaker in your session will also be
expected to participate.
- The call focuses
upon the session’s “Key Learning Points”, “Content Cohesion”,
“Speaker & Moderator Rapport”, “Currency of the session
Synopsis”, and any special Audio-Visual requirements that you may
have.
- Identifying a
mutually convenient call time for all participants can be
difficult, so we ask that you indicate your availability for any
suggested call time quickly.
7.
You
will be asked to submit your final, completed presentation at least
one week prior to the Summit, to enable timely preparation of the
master Audio-Visual
presentation file
8.
Material presented at any CoreNet Global Summit becomes the
property of CoreNet Global.
9.
Your session may be recorded on site during the Summit for
subsequent distribution on CD ROM or DVD, or for re-presentation at
another CoreNet Global
Summit or Chapter Forum, to enhance the learning of CoreNet Global
Members.
10.
CoreNet Global does not generally pay stipends to
Speakers.
11.
In order to speak, you must register as a Summit delegate and pay
the appropriate registration fee, subject to your Membership
status. A concessional rate
will be offered in grateful recognition of your
contribution.
12.
The Sponsorship of a Summit session does not create any entitlement
for the Sponsor to appoint a Speaker or Moderator to that or any
other Summit
session.
13.
Service Providers who participate in a session are not permitted to
present a "sales pitch", both in their own and the Delegates'
interest.
Deadline for
Submission
Deadline for
submission is 4.00 p.m. Friday 18 January,
2008. Acceptance of late entries will be based on need.
The listed topics are related to the Summit learning theme – please
use them as thought-starters for your case submissions.
Evaluation and
Selection
CoreNet Global
will review nominations and you will be notified of the status of
your submission, via e-mail, no later than early March,
2008. You may receive a phone call asking for clarification or
additional information regarding your submission. These inquiries
assist us in selecting as many quality submissions as possible.
Please understand that these inquires do not indicate acceptance of
your case – you will receive a specific notification via email
regarding the status of your case study and its inclusion in the
Summit.
Submissions will
be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with
the overall theme and topics of the Summit
- Creativity,
innovation or best practice of the case study
- Models or tools
that might be useful for other corporate real estate
professionals
- How the case
study created value for the corporation or organization
- Lessons learned
or guidelines for others
- Quality, clarity
and completeness of the submission
We
regret that we cannot include all submissions in our Summit
